Celebrating our SOA 2020 Finalists! #SOASalute

Today was the day we’d originally anticipated finding out exactly who had won the Soldiering On Award for each of the 13 categories. Instead, we have a few more months of exciting anticipation until the winners are revealed. Today, we thought we would mark the would-be Awards Night by showcasing our fantastic finalists on the SOA website, and all across social media, and giving our thanks to all of the front-line, key, and essential workers currently keeping our country safe and battling on through the COVID-19 crisis.

Fellow Soldiering On Awards Co-Chair, Wing Commander Tal Lambert MBE, and I, recorded a special message to mark this important day in the SOA calendar:

We also have a special message to our Finalists from General the Lord Dannatt, GCB CBE MC DL, President of the Soldiering On Awards; and Debra Allcock-Tyler, Vice-President of the Soldiering On Awards:

“We are so sorry we are not all gathered together at the Park Plaza tonight, on the 24th April 2020, to celebrate your wonderful achievements.  We could not let this date go unmarked. Tonight we raise a glass to you all, with a special drum roll, to applaud our tremendous community and our amazing sponsors too.  Please watch this short montage of the 2020 House of Lord’s Finalist’s Reception, it is sure to raise a smile or two… And we look forward to seeing you, fingers crossed, later in the year, for what will be the 10th Anniversary of the Soldiering On Awards.’’
